Electric Scooters
Read this before you order. Electric scooter law differs sharply across Europe and it is not intuitive. In France these scooters fall under the EDPM category and can be used on public roads, subject to the national 25 km/h limit and local rules. In Germany a scooter needs a KBA type approval (ABE) capped at 20 km/h plus a current insurance plate — a 25 km/h machine cannot hold one. In the Netherlands scooters are classed as "bijzondere bromfiets" and need RDW approval plus a registration plate, which almost no model on the market holds.
We therefore sell these into France for road use, and for private-land use elsewhere. If in doubt, ask us before ordering.
