ENGWE LE20 Battery
Overview
The LE20 runs one or two 48 V 19.2 Ah packs, and they sit in two different places: under the seat, or built into the frame. Choose the position that matches the bay you are filling — they are not interchangeable.
Why riders choose the LE20 Battery
- 48 V 19.2 Ah — the largest single pack in the range.
- Two mounting positions offered — under-seat or built-in frame.
- Fitting a second pack roughly doubles range — ENGWE quotes 180 km on one and 350 km on two.
LE20 Battery in detail
Getting the position right
This is the one battery in the catalogue where ordering the wrong variant is easy. Look at where your existing pack sits — under the saddle, or inside the frame tube — and pick the matching option. If in doubt, send us a photo.
Adding the second battery
The dual-battery configuration is what takes the LE20 from a school-run bike to a touring one. If you bought the single-battery build and want more range, this is the upgrade.
Who it suits
- LE20 owners upgrading from single to dual battery
- Cargo riders who need range with a full load

Road legality and safety
Lithium-ion batteries are safe when treated properly and dangerous when they are not. Charge indoors, on a hard non-flammable surface, within sight, and unplug when full. Do not charge a pack that is damaged, swollen or has been submerged. Use only the charger supplied for this pack. At end of life the battery must be recycled through a battery collection point, not put in household waste.
Frequently asked questions
Which position do I need?
Look at your bike. The under-seat pack sits below the saddle; the frame pack is built into the tube. Order the matching option, or send us a photo and we will confirm.
Will a second battery double my range?
Close. ENGWE quotes 180 km with one pack and 350 km with two, both at PAS 1 with a 75 kg rider and no load. Carrying cargo reduces both figures.
Can I fast charge it?
Yes — the LE20 8A fast charger is sold separately and cuts charging to roughly 2–3 hours.
