These are not road-legal e-bikes in the European Union. We have given them their own category rather than mixing them into the main range, because the distinction is important and burying it would not be honest.
EN 15194 defines a pedelec as having a motor of no more than 250 W nominal with assistance cutting out at 25 km/h. The machines here are rated at 1000 W and 1200 W. That places them outside the bicycle definition in German, Dutch and French law.
